An AP article today mentions "the huge security challenge posed by the nation's 10,000 voting jurisdictions" which "prsents a multitude of opportunities for someone bent on mischief" and says Homeand Security "has been working with states and counties to shore up their election systems against tampering."  But isn't that a waste of time and effort?  After all, the Democrats keep telling us that there's almost no voter fraud, and that trying to do something about it is just a Republican pretense for voter suppression.

Voter fraud is as old as the country.  Think Tammany Hall, Richard Daly's machine, "walking around money," etc.  The Russians didn't invent it.  It has no particular party affiliation.

TheWSJ reports today that Russian interests have been  trying to influence politics and life in the US for years through Facebook postings.  Doh! As if American interests don't try to influence politics and life elsewhere?  The problem is not that Russians are trying to influence what goes in the US; it's that too many Americans get virtually all their information from Facebook and can thus be misled so easily.  And that sorry state will continue until the schools return to teaching civics and critical thinking instead of diversity and other nonsense.
